Ahhhh, I went for a run today! That probably doesn’t sound amazing to most of you, but if I haven’t already moaned to you about this, it’s something I’ve said I’d do for the past two years and has become an ongoing joke with most of my friends. Yes, two years- I am that lazy.
This has also made me painfully aware that while running isn’t nearly the same as slowly climbing up a mountain, I still have so much more to do if I’m planning on not dying on this summer world challenge thing.
(Sorry for boring any of you with this pointless post that doesn’t really have much to do with you, but needless to say, I’m sadly rather proud)
mywanderingdaysareoverr replied to your post: it was as if a thousands and thousands…
Yay d.h.lawrence :D…I read women in love by him recently…twas goooooooood
He’s great! We should D.H Lawrence swap sometime. ;D
It was as if thousands and thousands of little roots and threads of consciousness in him and her had grown together into a tangled mass, till they could crowd no more, and the plant was dying. Now quietly, subtly, she was unravelling the tangle of his consciousness and hers, breaking the threads gently, one by one, with patience and impatience to get clear.
I’m just finishing “Lady Chatterley’s Lover” and it’s such a great book. But I guess it’s pretty understandable why it was so controversial.
“I know that you’re selfish, selfish beyond words, and I know that you haven’t the nerve of a rabbit, I know you’re a liar and a humbug, I know that you’re utterly contemptible. And the tragic part is”—her face was on a sudden distraught with pain—“the tragic part is that notwithstanding I love you with all my heart.”
Didn’t expect the film to be nearly as good as the book- but oh my, everything about it was beautiful.
- I can’t see anything that I don’t like about you.
But you will! But you will. You know, you will think of things. And I’ll get bored with you and feel trapped because that’s what happens with me.
- Okay.
Okay.
Finally watched ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’, and it was so good! I really love Clementine.
